For example, in Ward v. Dixie National Life Insurance Company, et al., Mr. Harpootlian successfully argued and won a rare summary judgment on damages for $7.9 million against two insurance companies who had failed to properly pay claims on supplemental cancer insurance policies.
And, in the case of Croft v. Old Republic Ins. Co., Mr. Harpootlian successfully argued and won a ground-breaking decision where he convinced the Supreme Court of South Carolina to interpret the law in a manner that allowed an additional one million dollars of coverage for his client.
