Dram Shop victim of a drunk driver settles his claims for $999,000.

In the early morning hours of June 9, 2019, Roy Hall was traveling in his marked patrol vehicle to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, where he worked as a deputy.  Without warning, a pickup truck crossed over a median and into Mr. Hall’s lane and collided head-on with his vehicle. The driver of the pickup truck was grossly intoxicated and had just left Ray’s Place, a private bar in Irmo, South Carolina.  Ray’s Place had allowed the driver of the truck to repeatedly purchase and consume alcoholic beverages even though he was visibly intoxicated.  As a result, Mr. Hall sustained life threatening injuries and permanent physical impairment.

Mr. Hall settled claims with the bar for $999,000. He was represented by Dick Harpootlian of Richard A. Harpootlian, P.A. and Leigh Leventis of the Leventis Law Firm.
